Barnes mountain yellow tomato seeds

Current Stock: 0
An American heirloom that is named after Barnes Mountain in Estill county, Kentucky. Oddly I got this a few years ago from a trade with a German friend. One pound fruits are the standard size with many getting much bigger. It is a late season tomato for me here in the mid-Atlantic (meaning mid to late August) but it is also very productive when other fruits are slowing down this tomato is just hitting its stride. The fruits, besides being large are dense and meaty, and full of juice. The flavor is balanced but leans to the sweet side, with hints of tropical fruit and earthiness. Big slices hold up in any sandwich or quartered into a summer salad. I wish I know more of the back story on this one, because it is such a great tomato. 90 days+ Indeterminate
