Hungarian Heart is a big big boy. This is an heirloom from Ed Simon of Pennsylvania who says it was from the area around Budapest. First listed in SSE (Seed Savers Exchange) in 1991.
The fruits are giant dark pink heart shaped monsters. They have a same seed cavity, which makes room for tons super meaty flesh that is dry, like you need for a great slow roasted sauce.
Great for either sauce or fresh eating.
