First listed in SSE by Carolyn Male (Tomato royalty) she received the seeds from one Marjorie Morris of Indiana, who found this growing as a sport among a row of pineapple tomatoes. Carolyn first listed it in 1996.
This is a large strawberry shaped tomato from 11-19oz, the skin and flesh are radiant. The flesh is also meaty with a small ovary with few seeds. The flavor is bright and herbaceous with a sweet finish. If you are a BLT kind of person, like I am, this is one that you need to add to quiver. We where picking tomatoes for a BLT pop-up so and I made sandwiches for the crew and I used this tomato and everyone was raving about it. The plants are indeterminate and very productive for a big fruit. I am sure you will fall in love with this tomato.
